human expression - love at psychedelic velocity

MISSISSIPPI and MOI J'CONNAIS have teamed up to rerelease and press to vinyl for the first time what just may be the garage / psych reissue of the year.....HUMAN EXPRESSION's "LOVE AT PSYCHEDELIC VELOCITY" !!!!!!!!!!!!!...(yes i know there's been quite a stellar list of must-own represses in 2013, but really what i'm saying is DO NOT SLEEP on this one...)

formed in the mid 60s in the los angeles area, HUMAN EXPRESSION cut one demo and released three singles during their short heyday in 66/67......before lineup changes, frustration and vietnam caused the band to break up.......  their eery primal psych fused garage beat should've established them along such fellow sunset strip rockers LOVE and THE SEEDS, but HUMAN EXPRESSION never got around to releasing a full length album, and thus disappeared into the footnotes of RnR history.  though they did leave behind a 17 tracks which were collected earlier as a CD entitled "LOVE AT PSYCHEDELIC VELOCITY" now finally available as a LP (with a bonus 7 inch) thanks to the fine folks at MISSISSIPPI and MOI J'CONNAIS.....

READIN' YOUR WILL, OPTICAL WILL, CALM ME DOWN and LOVE AT PSYCHEDELIC VELOCITY are fuckin' garage rock classics.......and have been on such venerable compilations as NUGGETS, PEBBLES, GARAGE BEAT and HIGHS IN THE MID SIXTIES to name a few...... and the fact that we can finally own all their songs on one LP is nothing short of a miracle........  HUMAN EXPRESSION's original 45s fetch well over $1500 a piece, so that just goes to show they're one of those groups that's reached HOLY GRAIL status for collectors.........

HOLY SHIT YOU NEED TO GRAB "LOVE AT PSYCHEDELIC VELOCITY" NOW..... it's a super limited one time pressing and when it's gone, it's gone........

fans of everyone from the aforementioned LOVE and SEEDS to COUNT FIVE, CHOCOLATE WATCH BAND, LOLLIPOP SHOPPE, THE SONICS, 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS and BLUE MAGOOS need some HUMAN EXPRESSION now.......yes this is a necessity for garage rock junkies, but also for those who like good music, like you..........

file this one as a GARAGE ROCK CLASSIC......
and listen below........
