APACHE DROPOUT are back with a stellar new album entitled BUBBLEGUM GRAVEYARD on TROUBLE IN MIND records..... this is some of the best garage rock you'll hear all year, i promise.......APACHE DROPOUT made my best of the year list in 2011 with their awesome debut lp and the new album is for sure one of the few MUST BUY lps you'll come across this summer........

Bubblegum Graveyard continues on with the more of the same fuzzed out 60s loving garage sound you can expect from Apache Dropout......yet they've upped the ante by adding catchy bubblegum melodies, more psychedelic vibes and a little bit of b movie horror silliness to their sound......and they have quite the driving primitive beat that bangs these songs into yer head where they get stuck all day long.... while many bands cop that retro sound, few can make it there own like APACHE DROPOUT.......  imagine THE SEEDS, BOX TOPS, COUNT FIVE, LEMON PIPERS, BLUES MAGOOS, THE SHADOWS OF THE KNIGHT, TOMMY ROE and 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS all poured into one hell of a GARAGE ROCK COCKTAIL.....this is one drink you're going have to get drunk on........

super highly recommended......especially for garage fans that love IN THE RED, TROUBLE IN MIND, HOZAC, BURGER, SOUTHPAW and CASTLE FACE records.......   i could list you some of their contemporaries they sound like, but they kinda have their own thing going and it's fucking great.........

APACHE DROPOUT might win the BEST NEW ARTIST award, if TINY GROOVES was the GRAMMYS......

APACHE DROPOUT is one of my favorite bands of the year......i can't get enough of their s/t debut or their seven inch on TROUBLE IN MIND....... so i was stoked to hear that APACHE DROPOUT was going to give us two new garage/psych jams before the year was out........

their new single RADIATION may never leave my turntable......its that good.......  if you love garage rock, you need to check APACHE DROPOUT now....

APACHE DROPOUT is good fuzzed out psych/garage rock from Indiana....

they play the kind of garage rock that has some soul like the DIRTBOMBS.......

with a heavy dose of drugged out psych like THE OH SEES......

put them in the same camp as some of the other bands i've been writing about lately, the NIGHT BEATS, WRONG WORDS, ROYAL BATHS, COSMONAUTS and BLASTED CANYONS.....wild fun garage/psych.........

they mesh influences like BLUE CHEER, VELVET UNDERGROUND, THE SEEDS,  SHADOWS OF THE KNIGHT, THE PRETTY THINGS, 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS and BLUES MAGOOS  without sounding like a cheap garage rock knock off......... THIS IS THE REAL THING.  don't believe the critics who think all these new bands are just rehashing old cliches.......
