gunslingers

french prog noise punk....twisting through yr ears straight to that part of the brain where melodies get lodged and never come unstuck. hot snakes and wooden shjips come to mind, but it's almost too unique to classify.

listen below, and buy the lp if you can find it. it's not cheap, but totally worth it.

nobunny - love visions

saw nobunny last night with mickey, white mystery and the yolks.....and this afternoon at an in-store at planet of sound......

garage pop goodness....

if you don't own this lp, go buy it now.

digital leather - sorcerer lp

digital leather- sorcerer
is TINY GROOVES' lp of the day.

headed off to see them later tonight at the subterranean.  and i can't stop listening to their lp in preparation......

good mix between fuzzed out lo-fi and electro......much akin to the lost sounds (jay reatard was kind enough to produce the lp)....... and it's the perfect soundtrack to yr cheap beer fueled house party........

brimstone howl

nebraska based garage rockers brimstone howl are exactly what you need to listen to whilst driving around town with yr windows rolled down for the first time in six months. fuck yeah spring time garage punk jams............click on their name to grab their lps from the blog punks make your day.

watch below.....

happy brithday

no i'm not wishing tinygrooves happy brithday (though it's one year old now, kind of surprised myself that i've kept it going...), i'm talking about sub pop's latest indie stars, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

a vermont indie trio that mixes royal trux's blues skronk, pavement's slacker indie guitar work and 60s garage pop all into one.  one of my fav lps of the year, and it's not even out yet.  can't tell you how much i'll listen to this once i get my hands on the lp.  jump here to pitchfork to preview a track, or go to sub pop to pre-order yr new fav band.......

golden triangle

Featuring ex-Memphians NICK DIABLO (VIVA L'AMERICAN DEATH RAY MUSIC) and ALIX BROWN (LIDS, ANGRY ANGLES). A blast of blurry basement psych experimental-ish rock.   one previous hard to find ep and now a new lp out via sub pop's imprint hardly art.  tiny grooves highly recommends this lo-fi garage rock stomper.....
