ketamines - spaced out lp

KETAMINES rose from the ashes of a couple of awesome under the radar punk bands, THE MYELIN SHEATHS and ENDANGERED APE.....and are perhaps CALGARY's if not all of canada's best new band...... HOZAC records released their debut 7 inch awhile ago and that portended good things... i mean it was quite the killer fuzz pop single..... but now finally we get to have a full length from KETAMINES......

their SPACED OUT lp, co released by SOUTHPAW and MAMMOTH CAVE records is chock full of acid tinged bubble gummed jangled up garage rockers..... not many bands can write songs this insanely catchy and weird at the same time..... KETAMINES play a super melodic and fuzzed out blend of garage punk thats so far left of the formula the other bands are playing i just wanna call it something else.... maybe sun burnt twee psych post punked garage......  hum, i dunno know, but you need to listen to the KETAMINES right now.......

recommended if you like the oh sees, the hussy, outer minds and dead ghosts....
