they're fun spastic and loud, much like my favorite art punk bands, and yet WHATEVER BRAINS are chasing around such diverse underground rock references yr head starts to spin......you might find the same psych punk vibe in HUMAN EYE, or a similar weirdo sonic destruction in PERE UBU, CHEVEU or SWELL MAPS, or it might be as simple as calling their kind of rock n roll uninhibited and free like indie rock was in the 90s, when bands like PAVEMENT, SONIC YOUTH, ARCHERS OF LOAF, THOMAS JEFFERSON SLAVE APARTMENTS or TRUMANS WATER could turn whichever direction they wanted to cause hardly anyone was listening and it was/is more fun to think outside the box.....
at any rate, WHATEVER BRAINS is engertic creative indie/punk that fans of adventurous music need to check out..........
