JC SATAN - hell death samba

when SLOVENLY RECORDS gets ready to release another full length, i get excited..... lately they've released some gems from a couple of obscure european bands (ie, thee oops, acid baby jesus), and their newest release keeps that ball rolling.........

JC SATAN plays dark heavy prog/psych influenced garage rock.....noisy reverb drenched rockers mixed with jangly pop ballads.....

put them in the same camp as CHEVEU, FEELING OF LOVE and LIMINANAS.....the european garage scene is not just rehashing old american rock cliches, they're making their own quite strange, but good brand of garage rock.....and JC SATAN is just another example of the creativity happening there........

i think their new lp HELL DEATH SAMBA is going to catch some ears.....its got my attention already....

here's what SLOVENLY had to say about the new JC SATAN lp...
a beast of a sophomore slam from our beloved European juvenile delinquents J.C. SATAN. Hell Death Samba, like their previous opus Sick of Love, is a beautifully morose, sonic ode to the days of wine and dead roses, effortlessly melding goth with garage & heavy psych, filtered through a titanic pile of noise. This latest effort sees more of lyricist PAULA S.'s vocals spotlighted in various structures from cranky twisters to bouncy tropicalia, like a crack pipe full of indy-rock with the devils pulse and a witch's cackle. Tricked out with a wealth of moods from huge punk rave-ups to underwater pop art dreamscapes, we've been simultaneously blessed & cursed with another provocative slab: proof that this demented crew of French and Italian pranksters are no one-trick-poodles.

stream the entire album below........ and go buy it at yr local record store.  OUT NOW!
