OBN IIIs drop a seriously heavyweight album following three killer singles/EPs. Some of the best mid-paced punk rock of the “City Slang” vibe...and one of the best live bands of recent memory...now flirting with a Sabbath-caliber weight in the sound, added snot-nosed attitude, and tighter grooves. The resulting record is an absolutely-no-bullshit, tight-yet-screaming wild, rock record full of the wicked, double-deep-fried-guitars searing in and out of ORVILLE’s way. All the primal attack and hooky sheen of the self-titled EP is all over this thing along with that dark, nihilistic affect of “Mark On You,” now planted with heavier footing. The “Texas-tinged IVY GREEN” tag still applies, but adds a Vamps meets Stooges swagger big time. Frying the shit out of stuff where appropriate.
