deerhoof was amazing. amanda and i went to their show thursday night and i can say i haven't been that impressed by a live show in quite some time. tiger masks, couple of awesome cover songs, instrument switching, hilarious stage antics, and playing nearly their entire new LP offend maggie. i want to see them play every month at least......
the show was opened by new anticon records kids serengetti and polyphonic (not so good, but at least interesting idm based hiphop) and maps & atlases (angular indie pop that sounds like they could be the next over hyped vampire weekend)....
make sure to get to any remaining deerhoof tour dates if you can.....well worth it......

you know damn well that aside from sasquatch, the rest of their tour dates are in europe.
dick.
but to be honest, i saw them play their offend maggie set a couple months ago and it was...well, you know. awesome.
There is deerhoof's closing of the ATP in early sept w/special visual stuffs by martha (if Tony reads this, she's that cutish lady who I was yapping with on new years and in every possible way I swiftly dropped the ball with ((not in a new years sense, but horribly ruining someone hitting on me with awkwardness dropping of ball type of way)), for a meager 230$- about 40 amazing bands come before this final set, plus david cross. Im just saying. (oh yeah, 2800 person capacity...)
