HAUNTED HEAD is an even murkier / darker ride through the hazy surf / rockabilly inspired, swampy garage punk that we've come to expect from KID CONGO & THE PINK MONKEY BIRDS...(and if you thought GORILLA ROSE and DRACULA BOOTS were killer, just wait til you get yer dirty hands on this new one)....
the new album is full of greasy guitar riffs, soul soaked creeper anthems, lysergic rave ups, beatnik bad trip rants and all sorts of late night rock n roll juju....just like we need....HAUNTED HEAD is a whole another world you'll fall into and never escape from.......and that's quite all right with me.......
totally fucking recommended. kid congo & co proves once again that they are the kings of sleazy rock n roll and nobody comes close to approximating their eery and debauched garage rock sound......that is for sure!!!!!!
