2013 has been a fucking killer year for music, especially with an onslaught of amazing new bands that appear out of nowhere every day!  one such band i've been meaning to post about all year is memphis' new garage punk miscreants, MANATEEES!!!!!!   and everytime i was just about write about them i found out they were releasing yet another down n dirty single for yet another of my favorite record labels....  so i guess we'll cover them all right now, cuz you need to hear them yesterday!!!!!!

this year MANATEEES have released fucking MUST OWN 7 INCHES on PELICAN POW WOW, GONER, TIC TAC TOTALLY and JKSHK....  all of them blown out, drunken, thrashy punk like i can never get enough of.....   and as far as i'm concerned they might just be THE BAND TO SEE LIVE if yer ever in memphis....certainly they keep the city's longstanding tradition of unruly punk chaos alive.....

so if yer a junkie for BUCK BILOXI & THE FUCKS, TRUE SONS OF THUNDER, THE OBLIVIANS, REATARDS, GOLDEN PELICANS, PAMPERS, FOSTER CARE, GARY WRONG GROUP and anything on GONER / TOTAL PUNK / PELICAN POW WOW / CRYPT / JKSHK RECORDS, YOU FUCKING NEED TO INTRODUCE YERSELF TO YER NEW FAVORITE GO TO BAND!!!!!!!

and watch out for a brand new single from MANATEEES on TOTAL PUNK early next year, cuz there's no doubt in my mind it will melt yer face like all four of these singles.......

HOLY SHIT, it's time to blow up yer stereo with the self titled debut lp from brooklyn's PAMPERS!!!!!!!!!  seriously you're gonna thank IN THE RED for putting this one out many times over........

PAMPERS have been slinking around the dark alleys on gotham city for a while now, releasing a couple of rowdy singles via their JKSHK label and playing with like minded and demented soulmates FOSTER CARE, CALL OF THE WILD and HANK WOOD AND THE HAMMERHEADS.... yet no one was willing to bring their destruction to a nationwide audience until IN THE RED stepped in.....  their s/t lp is chock full of bruising riffs, pummeling drums, broken synths knife fighting walls of feedback and gnarly vocals...... art bent, noisy and mutant as punk can be, PAMPERS' new album shows that punk rock is alive and well, and feral as fuck !!!!!!!!

put them in the same camp of misanthropic noise punks as RUNNING, BUCK BILOXI AND THE FUCKS, LAMPS, OBNOX, TRUE SONS OF THUNDER, MANATEEES, SOUPCANS, LIVEFASTDIE and/or GARY WRONG, yeah pretty much all the bands keeping RnR LOUD NASTY INTERESTING AND RIOTOUS AS CAN BE!!!!!!!!!   junkies for those bands as well as labels like CRYPT, HOZAC, TOTAL PUNK and GONER need some fucking PAMPERS NOW!!!!!!!!

this lp is gonna shake something lose in yer head and you'll never be the same!!!!!!  feedback weirdo punk hasn't been this fun since the electric eels or the urinals..... a for sure top ten album of the year!!!!!!

FOSTER CARE is probably one of the best punk rock bands out there, and you and almost everyone else has never heard of them.....

that might be because they refuse to spend hours of facebook promoting themselves, or even touring much outside their homes in brooklyn but it'd be a shame if you didn't turn yr ears their way for at least a second......

FOSTER CARE play mean drunk spastic lofi punk rock, the kind that you don't hear much of anymore, unless you're constantly spinning your old KILLED BY DEATH comps.......and FOSTER CARE also features members from tiny grooves fave's CARBONAS and the EX HUMANS.......and man oh man do they keep that dirty garage punk tradition alive..........

their brand new lp, BAD VIBE CITY, has just been released by JKSHK RECORDS and its some of the most snotty trashy punk rock you'll hear all year long........ those who love their PUNK ROCK LOUD AND FAST AND RIOTOUS AS FUCK need to grab one of the 500 copies of the LP now........the lp is chock full of CIRCLE JERKS, JFA and ANGRY SAMOAN style thrashy punk.... BAD VIBE CITY is the perfect soundtrack to yr next night of blackout drinking, party hopping, bar fighting, girlfriend stealing, puking and/or ending up on someone else's floor the next morning barely alive........and we all need an album like that if we plan on staying young and stupid.......
